A Perfect Match as Cara Credit Union Sponsors St.Mary’s Youth Academy

Management and staff of Cara Credit Union are delighted to announce their Youth Current Account as sponsors of the youth academy in St. Mary’s Basketball Club in Castleisland.

Donal O’Connor, annual Christmas Blitz tournament director said that he is delighted to welcome Cara Credit Union as title sponsor of the club’s academy.

“These are our future stars, ensuring the future of basketball in Castleisland is in safe hands. The club would like to thank the credit union for supporting the club and the academy in such a generous manner.

Our teams will wear the new kit with pride as they showcase their skills in the blitz,” said Mr. O’Connor.

In recent weeks, Cara Credit Union has launched a youth current account with a globally accepted Mastercard® debit card, which is available for members from the ages of 12 to 16.

The account allows younger members to build a budget, save and manage their own account in a safe and secure manner.

Pa Laide, CEO of Cara Credit Union said that with the introduction of the Youth Current Account and Mastercard Debit Card, members over 12 years of age can now do all their day-to-day banking through their credit union.

“They will also be supporting, in a practical way, the growth of the much trusted and community-based credit union service,” said Mr. Laide – and he added:

“Through this exciting sponsorship, we will also be supporting the continued development of sport in Castleisland and surrounding areas.

“The academy sponsorship reflects our commitment to supporting and strengthening local communities solely for the benefit of the people living in these communities.
