Currow GAA Club AGM – Discussions on Future Plans and Officers Elected

At the recent Currow GAA Club AGM at the club rooms were seated: Tone Brosnan, Pat O’Sullivan, Daniel O’Shea, Conor O’Leary, Norma Manley and Johnny Brosnan. The Currow GAA Club AGM 2023 was held recently at the clubrooms.

The 2022 club report was discussed at length with highlights which included: The success of the senior team; gained promotion to division 2 Co. league and retained intermediate status and that of the junior team which won the Barrett Cup and Division 3 Co. Developmental League winners and East Kerry Junior League finalists.

Also discussed were: the  election of Johnny Brosnan as president of the club; the Currow GAA tour to London over the past weekend; the hugely successful family fun day and new gym opening and future plans.

Officers Elected

The following officers were elected on the night:

Patron: Fr. John Buckley; President: Johnny Brosnan; vice presidents: James Flynn, Thomas Brosnan, Ted Buckley and Paddy O’Sullivan.

Chairperson, Daniel O’Shea; Vice Chairperson, Pat O’Sullivan; Secretary, Norma Manley; Assistant secretary, Tom O’Callaghan; Treasurer, Tone Brosnan; Assistant Treasurer, John O’Connor; PRO, Conor O’Leary; Children’s officer, Kevin Fitzgerald; Lotto officer, John Fleming  Substance abuse officers, Frank Coffey and Tone Brosnan.

County Board Delegate,Paddy O’Sullivan; East Kerry Board Delegate, Moss O Connor and Paddy O’Sullivan; St. Kieran’s Board delegate, John Fleming.

Senior Management: Mike Tim O’Sullivan, Tone Brosnan, Kevin O’Sullivan and Redmond O’Mahoney.

Junior management: Kieran Scanlon, Paudie Collins and Tadhg Howard.
