Congratulations John Paul and Grace

Wishing many years of love and joy to John Paul Curtin and his beautiful bride, Grace OCallaghan.

I’m reliably informed Grace is a Mayo woman. She joins a long list of lovely Mayo gals who have fallen under the spell of our local lads! Welcome to the fold, Grace. We’re honoured to have you. Have a lovely life together, John Paul and Grace.

Fitting Win

Delighted to see that our local GAA lotto was won by none other than Jimmy Keane.

As the long-standing sponsor of our senior team – along with Maria and Killian – there’s something very fitting in Jimmy taking home the jackpot. Congratulations!

Reminder to everyone out there, Brosna GAA annual lotto is currently renewing. An annual ticket at €100 is a wonderful way to support the club.

Contact Brosna GAA Treasurer Kay Walsh or Secretary Micheal Murphy. Your membership ensures you are automatically included in all the weekly draws. To the generous individuals who have renewed their membership, thank you so much.

Message from Coiste na nOg.

Brosna Coiste Na nOg will be participating in this year’s St.Patrick’s Day Parade in Mountcollins.

We want to have as many players, parents, coaches, club members etc walking behind the Brosna GAA banner.

We’ll have jerseys for the players. We need all those taking part to be in Mountcollins by midday as the parade is due to start at 12:30 sharp.

St. Patrick’s Day

I love St Patrick’s Day. It seems to herald the end of winter. Daffodils and primroses in bloom.

Brighter evenings, birds nesting, cattle back on the land, and an overall sense of optimism for the coming months.

Whether you are celebrating this festival with Mass or a few pints – or both – let’s stand together with everyone on this island – without political or religious overtones – and honour the greatness of our nation.

I like to remember St Patrick was an emigrant who arrived with his own beliefs, preaching about fairness and true Christian values. He’s left us a great legacy.

Match Alert

SFL Division 3 Round1 – Brosna step out on St Patrick’s Day at 12 noon against Churchill. Venue: Churchill. Let’s bring our support to our crew!
