People wishing to take part in the Castleisland St. Patrick’s Day Parade tomorrow do not need to contact anyone in advance of their participation.

They just need to turn up on time – meaning before 12:30pm – at the Castleisland Co-Op Mart Yard.

Calls and messages received over the past few days from people intending to join in the Castleisland parade prompted me to ask the organisers.

Under Starters Orders by 12:30pm

Pat Hartnett and Cllr. Charlie Farrelly both assured me that there was no need to ask anyone but they did emphasise that they will need everyone under starters orders on the yard no later than 12:30pm. The parade will get underway at 1:30pm

They also pointed out that the routes to the starting and finishing points will be well stewarded and that participants should look out for and take directions from them.

Feet on the Street

The organisers are also urging people to get their feet on the street to line the route of the parade and show their appreciation and support for those taking part.

If you need any further information on getting involved, you could contact either Cllr. Charlie Farrelly on 087 2056150 or Pat Hartnett on 087 4191436.
