Pres Castleisland Box Office Opens for OsKaRs Night Tickets

The final sessions of acting training have come to an end for the sixty six actors taking part in the Presentation Castleisland ‘Night at the OsKaRs’ series of short films based on cinema classics. 

Locations and costumes have been sorted and all that remains is the mastering of accents and fine tuning of lines ahead of the two weekends of filming beginning on Saturday, March 25th under the direction of Kevin Rowe Events.

Each film will require up to five hours of footage, that will result in approximately 10 minutes for the finished film.

Box Office Opening

The sponsorship stage of the OsKaRs is also coming to an end. This Saturday March 25th marks the opening of the Box Office for ticket sales.

The Box Office will open in the school from 12 noon until 2pm on Saturday. Following this, tickets will be available each weekday from the school office from 8.30am until 6pm. Please note the school office can only accept cash for the tickets.

Great Buzz in Town

“There is a great buzz around the town ahead of the event and there is also a huge demand for tickets, so make sure to get yours early to avoid disappointment”, according to Principal Pierce Dargan.

The ‘Night at the OsKaRs’ is on Friday, April 21st. in the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney.

Doors open from 6.30pm and the show starts at 8pm sharp.

The 66 actors are engaged in the seven following film clips: Bridesmaids; Veronica Guerin; Forest Gump; The Field; The Snapper; Shawshank Redemption and Misery.
