Mossie Murphy Splits the Castleisland RFC Bucket Yet Again

Esther Murphy (right) collected her brother, Paddy’s winning cheque €757 in Tom McCarthy’s  Central Bar from Ann-Marie Callaghan. A few minutes later their brother Mossie’s ticket was drawn for yet another Castleisland RFC draw win.

Esther Murphy collected her brother, Paddy’s winning cheque  €757 in Tom McCarthy’s  Central Bar from Ann-Marie Callaghan.

Ann Marie then picked out this week’s winners and, almost incredibly, it was Paddy’s and Esther’s brother, Mossie for €763.

That’s bordering on unbelievable luck for the Murphy clan as Esther, John, Paddy, the late Timmy and Mossie have all won before.

This is Mossie’s third or fourth time splitting the bucket and he also did so on a weekend coming up to Christmas on the same weekend he won a similar draw for a basketball club in Tralee.

It’s news here in Castleisland now if one of the Murphys don’t win the Split the Bucket draw on any given weekend.

The next Castleisland RFC Split the Bucket draw is on in the Half Way in Ballymacelligott on Saturday night around 7:30pm and to co-incide with the official re-opening under new management.
