Betty’s Luck is In as she Splits the Bucket Again

Tony Marshall (left) accepting a Castleisland RFC Split the Bucket cheque for €750 on behalf of his neighbour Joan O’Reilly. Making the presentation is club coach Billy O’Sullivan at the Half Way Bar in Ballymacelligott on Saturday night.

Last week’s Castleisland RFC Split the Bucket Draw winner was Joan O’Reilly and Joan’s share came to €750.

Joan wasn’t available for the presentation at the Half Way Bar in Ballymacelligott.

Her neighbour and previous winner, Tony Marshall received the cheque on her behalf from club coach Billy O’Sullivan.

Draw host at the Half Way Bar, Thomas McQuinn picked out this week’s winner in the presence of a great crowd.

The prize went back to Castleisland to the lucky Betty Walsh – a second time winner and this time for €733. Betty couldn’t believe her luck when she was contacted after the draw was made.

The next draw is on Saturday night in Tom McCarthy’s Bar at around 8pm- best of luck everyone.
