The Con Curtin Festival was an eclectic mix of superb traditional music, song, dance and history wrapped up in a convivial and inclusive package.

The arrangement of events and sessions allowed visitors and locals, and returned natives to experience the best of everything.

It’s wonderful to see that our much cherished festival can thrive even with two pubs. Well done to the organisers who used great ingenuity to maximise the Parish’s potential. Special mention to Sheila Heery who opened her shed for impromptu music. It really became the pyramid stage for the festival.

Thanks to everyone who contributed in organising, managing, performing and attending. A wonderful weekend for music and our great community.

El Maestro

The ever youthful Patie Curtin moved through the festival like a rock star.

Beloved by family and friends, this dapper man performed in many of the sessions, adding a classy touch to the proceedings. Keep well, Patie. You are a legend.

A Window into Our Past

Our resident historian and raconteur, Tom Roche revealed new insights into our parish’s past during a wonderful talk on Sunday morning.

Tom’s breath of knowledge reveals decades of research. He is truly a local hero.

Happy Holidays

Wishing our Primary School’s staff and students a wonderful summer holiday.

Enjoy the break, swim in the sea, eat a few 99s, run wild and shake the mantle of formal education from your shoulders, well, until September.
