An Ríocht Athletic Club’s 50/50 fundraising draw took place in Castleisland Post Office on Friday evening, July 7th.

The proceeds of the draw are being used to upgrade the town park and river walk area – half of which has been ‘tarmaced’ earlier this year. .

Last week’s draw winner winner Pat Hartnett, who, incidentally, also won the Castleisland Desmonds draw on the same weekend, was  unavailable to collect his €1,000 cheque.

Post Office clerk, Deirdre Walsh pulled out this week’s winners who were: Micheál and Gráinne Walsh from Castleisland and they won €600.

Next week’s draw will take place in Eileen’s Bakery on Saturday, July 14th.
