A circular to elected members of Kerry County Council advises of another round of routine maintenance and grass cutting on the soon to be 13 year old Castleisland Bypass on Wednesday and Thursday of this week on July 12th and 13th.
Relayed for their constituents’ information by Cllr. Charlie Farrelly and Cllr. Fionnán Fitzgerald from Breda Mulryan, Senior Executive Engineer |Roads Transportation and Marine, Kerry County Council, the circular sets out the programme of works and the lane closure times as follows:
Castleisland Bypass
Wednesday 12th – Lane 1 Closure Southbound in place from 8am and removed at around 6pm.
Thursday 13th – Lane 1 Closure Southbound in place from 8am and removed around 6pm. Similarly, the dual carriageway will be reduced to a single lane for the duration of the works.
These works tend to increase traffic through Castleisland town for the duration and extra awareness and care is needed at street crossing points.
