Billy Mangan of the Knocknagoshel based coach hire firm has confirmed that he’ll bring the Kerry Ladies Senior Football team through Main Street, Castleisland when they leave Garvey’s Super-Valu car park at 12 noon tomorrow Saturday.

On their way to Dublin, the coach will swing down around the Back-of-the-Forge and up through the town while bringing an opportunity to people in shops and pubs to wish them well and wave them off on one of the great days of their lives.

There has already been a big day in Castleisland on Wednesday with the appearance of the RTÉ One TV crew, Jenny O’Sullivan and cameraman Eoin Daly who called to capture the atmosphere and build-up to the big day.

On Radio and TV News

Their work will be seen on the Six-One News this evening and it has already been shown and heard on the lunchtime news on radio and TV today.

Gerdie Murphy, Marie Twomey and Hanna Herlihy are featured on the clip with a fine back-up cast of local supporters who obligingly gathered at The Fountain for the occasion

Saturday morning’s gathering will centre on Garvey’s SuperValu car park where the team the management will catch the bus to Croke Park and the businesses and staff of the town will have the opportunity to demonstrate their support and wave them on their way. Go nÉirí an Bóthar Leo.
