Happy New Year to all from Castleisland Rugby Club and all involved with the Split the Bucket fundraising draw.

The latest draw was held at Fagin’s / Hartnett’s Bar on Saturday night and Jerome got 2024 off to a good start for the Carmody family.

He made a presentation to Margaret Carmody of a €900 cheque for her grand-daughter Lucy Carmody – the last Split the Bucket winner of 2023.

Margaret then picked out the first winner of the new year for a special €1,005 prize.

Third Time Winner

The ticket belonged to the lucky Jerry Courtney – a third time Split the Bucket winner and a great start the new year for him.

Jerry was a draw winner of €1,326 in mid November 2018 and he struck again in May 2021for a €811 prize just as draw venues were re-opening after the lock-down of that era.

The next draw will be held at McCarthy’s Shop in Currow on Saturday evening and the best of luck to everyone.
