Welcome Baby Gearoid Óg

A big welcome to baby, Gearoid Og who has joined Brid, an ideal big sister, in Kilmanihan.

Many good wishes to parents Maireád Corridan and Gearoid Keating whose little bundle of joy arrived recently. This young tot should have a very musical future ahead bringing such talent from both sides. If he can kick a ball, the GAA won’t be too disappointed either.

GAA Voyage to Ovens

The seniors made the voyage to Ovens to play the Joe O’Connor Memorial Cup.

This annual event is a highlight for both Eire Og and Brosna. The game on Saturday was an exciting encounter but Eire Og pipped the visitors to the post. Man of the Match was Brosna’s Adam Barry, a nice consolation prize for our crew on the day. The welcome laid on by Eire Og was epic. A fitting tribute to Joe, a great man. Well done to all involved.

Dancing with the Stars

Some of our wonderful local young dancers are part of a winning the eight hand reel participating in the World Championships in Glasgow on March 26th.

To raise much needed funds, The Parish Hall has organised a raffle with three huge hampers up for grabs. Tickets from Murphy’s shop, and both pubs. Buy a few lines to send our wonderful dancers off in style. Dancers Holly Fealey, Sarah Curtin, Emily Horgan, Brosna; Niamh Guiney and Caoimhe Carroll, Rockchapel; Zoe Oconnor, Tournafulla; Ellie Mae Flaherty, Moyvane and Ava Mae Scanlon, Raheenagh.
