Understanding Self-Harm Training is a one-day programme which aims to develop participants’ knowledge and understanding of self-harm and the reasons underlying such behaviour.

The programme will be delivered at Castleisland Resource Centre on Thursday next, February 29th. It’s a full day programme which runs from 09.30 to 5pm.

SafeTALK Suicide Alertness Training

SafeTALK suicide alertness training will take place on March 12th from 10am -1pm and it’s a half-day alertness training that prepares attendees, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper.

Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t truly want to die, but are struggling with the pain in their lives.

Through their words and actions, they invite help to stay alive. SafeTALK-trained helpers can recognise these invitations and take action by connecting them with life-saving intervention resources.

SafeTALK-trained helpers are an important part of suicide-safer communities, working alongside intervention resources to identify and avert suicide risks.

There are currently some spaces open in the trainings. For registration and details of all courses and events please call or text Liz on 087 7553066.
