The Castleisland branch of the Kerry Hospice Foundation is preparing for its annual Good Friday walk.

The walk will, as it has in recent years, commence and finish at the library car park b

eside the entrance to the library and civic offices.

Walkers are asked to gather in the library car park near the civic offices by 10.50am for an 11am start. The walkers will go straight up through the town heading out Cordal road, around Tullig and back to the starting point.

Safety First for Walkers

Participants are asked to take note of the route and to stay with the main group at all times for safety reasons.

Please note that there will be a car following walkers and if anyone feels unwell they are encouraged to sit in.

The walk is one of the major fundraisers for the society each year. Members of the Castleisland fundraising branch urge you to come out and walk ,or run if you prefer, this

Good Friday, March 29th.

Funds Raised Stay in Kerry

Donations will be collected at the starting point. If you cannot make the event, or prefer to do your walk privately, donations may be dropped to Jack Shanahan’s Haven Pharmacy or to Phil Horan’s filling station on Killarney Road – or given to any committee member.

All funds raised in Kerry for Hospice remain in Kerry.

Kerry Hospice Foundation is currently in the planning stages of adding five extra beds to the palliative care unit at Kerry University Hospital.
