Promoting Health and Well-being

“It is an initiative offering the club and community the opportunity to support all members to engage in activities that can promote their mental health and wellbeing. In addition, it will provide the opportunity for members of the wider community to engage with these messages, promoting their own mental health and enabling them to continue to support the young people in their communities.

Objectives Include

The objectives include: increasing awareness of mental health across the LGFA community and increasing the club’s knowledge on how to promote youth mental health – through a five-a-day health programme; enabling the club to respond more effectively to the mental health needs of members; increasing awareness of the local Jigsaw service; building improved links with local communities and creating an improved culture around mental health in the club,” said Aileen.
