Abbeyfeale for Axel is a family fun-day being held in the Grove, Abbeyfeale on Sunday September 15th by organisers, Dora, Mick and Katelyn Broderick, along with Kingdom Knights Motor Cycle Club.
The organisers collected a very generous donation to the fun-day fund from Peter Browne of Browne’s Bar, Castleisland.
This funday has been organised in aid of Axel Horgan, a beautiful two year old little boy who suffers from a very rare medical condition known as Pros-Cloves and Klippel Trenaunay Syndrome.
Huge Medical Expenses
This condition affects less than 200 people worldwide and will require the amputation of both of his feet in the immediate future. The medical expenses involved are huge and we hope to help with this by holding the funday and bringing the community together to show our support for Axel and his family.
The fun-day starts with a 2k walk / 5k fun-run leaving the Grove at 10am, registration online at Flexitime.ie or on the morning of the event from 9am.
There’s a €300 bonus spot-prize from Smyths Toys Superstore up for grabs for one lucky participant who registers online. This is compliments of Flexitime.ie and Joe Weir of Abbeyside strength and conditioning.
Fun-Day from 11am to 4pm
The fun-day starts at 11am and runs until 4pm with loads of children’s games, a fantastic motorbike show, hosted bt Kingdom Knights Motor Cycle Club with prizes for best classic bike, best vintage, best custom and best in show.

There is also a Living history display which will involve the visual display of weapons and an expert will be on hand throughout the day to explain what they are doing and how life was back then.
