Mollie’s and Bob’s Corners to be Linked by ‘Raised Uncontrolled Pedestrian Crossing’

Kerry County Council has proposed the introduction of a ‘Raised Uncontrolled Pedestrian Crossing’ at the junction between Church Street (R-577) and Main Street (L-2041) Castleisland.

The proposed Raised Uncontrolled Pedestrian Crossing is located at the intersection between Mollie’s Corner and Bob Finn’s Corner, Church Street (R-577) and Main Street (L-2041) Castleisland which will provide pedestrian linkages and improved universal access.

The proposal includes the following: Proposed footpath build-out at the junction; Raised Uncontrolled Pedestrian Crossing; Adjusted the corner radii; New Signage; All associated ancillary and accommodation works.

Drawings Can be Inspected

Drawings showing the location of the proposed works may be inspected at the following locations during normal office hours, for a period of one month, from tomorrow Thursday, April 24th, 2025.

At Castleisland Area Office, Kerry County Council, Area Services Centre, Tralee Road, Castleisland or at: Kerry County Council, Roads and Transportation Department, Room 115, Kerry County Council, County Buildings, Rathass, Tralee.

It will also be advertised on the Kerry County Council website: www.kerrycoco.ie

Observations in Writing to….

Observations or representations in relation to the proposal may be made, in writing and marked Section 38 –LCA25 Safety Improvement Works Church Street – Main Street Castleisland to the Administrative Officer, Roads and Transportation Department, Room 115, Kerry County Council, County Buildings, Rathass, Tralee, Co. Kerry and must be received by 4pm. Monday, May 26th 2025.
