Excitement is building in Castleisland as Muire Gan Smál National School proudly announces its inaugural school pantomime, a delightful production of the beloved classic, Little Red Riding Hood.
This much-anticipated event will take place on Wednesday, 28th May at 6:30pm in the school hall, and promises to be a truly memorable evening for students, families, and the wider community.
The pantomime, affectionately dubbed Anto’s Panto by students and staff, is under the expert direction of Antoinette O’Leary, whose passion and creativity have inspired pupils from second to sixth class to take to the stage. With weeks of rehearsals behind them, the young performers are eager to showcase their talents and bring this timeless fairy tale to life with a unique Muire Gan Smál twist.
A Community Celebration
This special event marks a significant milestone for the school, as it is the very first time a pantomime of this scale has been produced. The whole school community has rallied together, with teachers, parents, and volunteers lending their support to ensure the show’s success. From colourful costumes and imaginative set designs to catchy songs and lively dance numbers, every detail has been carefully crafted to guarantee an evening full of laughter, surprises, and heartwarming moments.
Fun for All Ages
Tickets are priced at €5 for adults and €3 for children, with under 5s admitted free of charge. All proceeds will go towards supporting future arts initiatives and resources at Muire Gan Smál, helping to foster creativity and confidence in students for years to come.
