The organisers of this year’s Knocknagoshel Pattern Rose Contest extend their congratulations to Rebecca Stryker their 2015 winner and their thanks to all the other contestants who entered on the night.
The contests was a stand-alone event this year and was in danger of being consigned to history as the list of Pattern activities mounted. A new committee was quickly formed and, in the heel of the hunt, they raised €2,500 for the Kerry/ Cork Health Link Bus.
The committee wishes to thank people who sponsored the event this year and to all who made a donation or bought lines for the draw during the selection night.
“We would also like to thank our host on the night, Francis Jones from Radio Kerry and our judges: Jacinta Lawlor from Radio Kerry and Norma O’Donoghue from Norma O’Donoghue’s Model Agency.
“Breda Dyland from the Kerry/Cork Health Link Bus also gave us great help on the night. All proceeds will go to the Kerry/Cork Health Link Bus we are delighted with the outcome and will presenting the cheque in O’Connor’s Bar here Knocknagoshel in the coming weeks,” said a spokesperson for the reinvigorated event committee. Arise Knocknagoshel indeed.
