Fun and Games in Cork for U-10 Girls

The U-10 girls team travelled to Passage West in Cork last Saturday to take part in blitz that the club hosted. 123 teams from all of the country were invited on the day. The girls won four games on the day and they had a fantastic day of fun and games.

Thanks to all of the girls who travelled on the day and to the team mentors and parents who accompanied them on the day also.

Seniors Lose to Ballydonoghue

The senior men’s team travelled to Listowel on Saturday last to play Ballydonoghue in the North Kerry League Division 1 final.

Unfortunately they had no luck on the evening, but you felt going in at half time losing on the score of 1-2 to 0-9 that their luck might change – especially after Stan Divane’s goal.

Playing with the wind at their backs in the second half they still had to face a stronger Ballydonoghue team on the night.

Desmonds lost on the score of Ballydonoghue 2-13 to Desmond’s 1-5

The team was: Steven Bartlett, Gearoid Leonard, Maurice Lynch, Ciaran Breen, Luke Lyons, Barry Lynch, captain; Padriagh O’Connell, Brian Leonard, Pa White, Stan Divane, Tomás Lynch, Gearoid McCarthy, Marc O’Connor, Cian O’Connor, Graham O’Connor.

Subs: Patrick Horan, Tadgh Walsh, John Begley. Team Management: Domo Lyne, Willie Dom Connor, and Gerard Murphy.

Thanks to all the Desmond’s supporters who travelled to Listowel to support the team. Next game for them is the North Kerry championship against Ballyduff away date and time to be confirmed.
