Desmonds AGM Night at the Clubhouse

The AGM of Castleisland Desmond’s GAA Club will be held on this Friday night at 8pm. in the clubhouse.

Please note that only fully paid up members can propose a motion, nominate members to vacant positions and vote.

Gerdie Stepping Down

Unable to attend the AGM tonight and stepping down as club public relations officer, Gerard ‘Gerdie’ Murphy has sent his final email in the role he filled with great enthusiasm and humour over the past couple of years.

The highlight of his tenure must surely be the hugely successful Brawl in the Hall / White Collar Boxing Tournament. This was a fundraising event, in July 2016, which set local attendance records and left the club coffers in the kind of health they hadn’t seen for a while.

Enjoy the pension Mr. Murphy and thank you for your correspondence over your term of office.

Club Lotto in The Barrel

The Desmonds club lotto was held on Saturday night in the Half Barrel Bar and the numbers drawn were: 25, 28, 30, 31.
