With great pleasure, I headed to Cromane for the Brosna vs St. Michael’s Foilmore encounter on Saturday evening.

With restrictions around spectators permitted to attend the game, the full complement of ticket holders braved a very blustery evening to shout on our Tangerine Army in Round 1 of the junior championship.

The first half was a trial for Brosna who struggled to find their rhythm while also battling dire weather conditions.

Half time saw Brosna on 0-3 with St. Michael’s 0-6.  With the prevailing wind at Brosna’s back and more confidence in passing and movement, we started to pull ahead.

Paul Walsh endured the attention of Kerry senior Mark Griffin in the second half but St. Michael’s efforts weren’t enough to hold down the scores from our forward line.  Full-time score Brosna: 0-12  St. Michael’s 0-8.

U12 – Brosna vs Na Gaeil

Sunday evening under a barrages of rain and midges, I watched the encounter between our gallant U-12 team and visitors, Na Gaeil.

Our home team is made up of 18 players – evenly divided numbers of boys and girls.

With great flair they took on the all-boys team from Tralee. A dazzling display by our own side saw a blistering score line of Brosna 5-14 to Na Gaeil’s 3-6.  Well done all involved.
