Libraries Re-Opening from Monday – Castleisland on Tuesday at 10am

Cllr. Fionnán Fitzgerald passing on the news that libraries will begin the process of re-opening from Monday with Castleisland among those opening on Tuesday from 10am. 

Cllr. Fionnán Fitzgerald passed on the notice that, in accordance with recent Government announcements, public libraries nationally will re-open for business on Monday,  May 10th 2021.

The following services will be provided: browse and borrow; book returns and photocopying.

A contact and collect service may also be offered if requested.

Tralee, Killarney, Dingle and Listowel libraries will re-open on Monday, May 10th. Opening hours will be 10am – 5pm, Monday to Saturday.

Castleisland Reopening on May 11th.

Ballybunion, Castleisland, Caherciveen, Kenmare and Killorglin libraries will re-open on Tuesday, 11 May. Opening hours will be 10am – 5pm, Tuesday – Saturday, with usual lunch time hours operating.

Public computers, daily newspapers, study spaces and research facilities will not be available until further notice and it is intended that these will be restored on a gradual basis in line with national guidance.

Archives Opening on May 17th

The Local History/Archives service and the Mobile Libraries service will not resume at this time.

The national online book request service will resume on Monday, May 17th.
