Tributes have been paid to the late Donal Curtin of Knocknagoshel by two Castleisland sports clubs with which he had long associations.
An Riocht Athletic Club management and members will miss his constant source of wit.
“It is with heavy hearts that we learn today of the untimely passing of a friend, co-worker, advisor, club member, conversationalist and constant source of wit and banter!
Donal, our memories of you will remain very much in our hearts and minds.
I am sure that you will be repeatedly quoted and turned to for guidance.
We at An Ríocht would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Sile, Mariah and Darragh and Donal’s extended family. Till we meet again,
Your friends at An Ríocht,” they said in fond remembrance.
Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club also paid tribute to the late Mr. Curtin and sent its sympathies to his immediate and extended family and friends. Donal, a former chairman of Desmonds Ladies Football Committee, was also a former chairman of the Kerry Ladies County Board.
A minute’s silence will be observed in his honour before the home Co.SFL game against Glenbeigh-Glencar on Sunday. He will share the silent prayers and tribute with recently departed members of the community here and those associated with it.
May God be good to them all.
