Jessie’s Outstanding Game for Kerry U-14s
What a display by the Kerry U-14s on Saturday last when they defeated Tipperary by 5-9 to 1-2 in the Munster Championship at the hallowed grounds of Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney.
Our own Jessie Cahill had an outstanding game at centre half back for Kerry and she did her club and county proud.
Next stop the Munster final.

Desmonds Seniors Fall to Stacks
Desmonds senior men’s team travelled to play Austin Stack’s in Tralee in brilliant sunshine at Connolly Park at the weekend.
They were defeated in their county league round three match on the score of 5-14 to 2-8.
With the score at 0-6 to 0- 4 at half time in favour of the home side you always felt that this game could any way.
In the second half , Stacks went in to a 1-10 to 0-4 lead and the Desmonds looked dead and buried. After 10 minutes, Stacks added another goal through Sean Callaghan.
Visitors Very Impressive
Then for the next six minutes the visitors were very impressive when we got two goals and two points with goal from Thomas Hickey a great point from Pat Fitzgerald and a goal and a point from sub, Graham O’Connor.
The score-board now read 2-11 to 2-7 in favour of the Stacks with only 10mins left in the game.
Unfortunately for Desmonds, while attacking all the time in trying to get more scores, they left themselves open at the back and we saw the Tralee team add three more goals. This game was over.
Team Worked Hard
Overall they team worked very hard but lady luck is not shining on us at present.
