Kerry can Become Synonymous with Green Prosperity – Paul Bowler, Green Party Candidate

Green Party member, Paul Bowler –  his face is going to be very familiar in the Castleisland area in the run-up to the 2024 Kerry County Council elections as he’s in the running for a seat on the Castleisland Corca Dhuibhne Municipal District Council. The Maine Valley Post. 

“Kerry’s extensive coastline and proximity to ports allow us to prosper from Ireland’s ambition to generate 5GW of offshore wind energy by 2030,” says Paul Bowler, Castleisland local area representative for the Green Party. 

“My ambition is that Kerry embraces green technology, becoming a wealthy county where young people prosper, and communities expand,” he continued.

Paul Bowler, a social care worker from Lixnaw, announces his campaign priorities for the 2024 local elections. 

Green Prosperity: means that Kerry can become wealthy and a centre of environmental excellence by leading the way in renewable energy production. 

Sustainability — Farmers are the heart of our communities and local economy; sustainable farming can enhance their incomes while protecting the environment.

Public Transport — Investment in public transport is critical to ending our over-reliance on cars. 

Experience in Social Care Work

Speaking about his candidacy in the Castleisland Local Electoral Area, Mr Bowler said, “My background in social care work has given me an insight into social policy’s impact on people’s lives. 

“My experience during the referendums for marriage equality and repealing the Eighth Amendment taught me the power of having conversations about social and political issues. I am bringing this approach to engaging with people around the climate crisis and Green prosperity in Castleisland.”
