The monthly Padre Pio Devotions in Castleisland have been changed from their regular, third Tuesday of the month to the new second Tuesday as from the coming Tuesday, January 9th at 7:30pm.

Padre Pio’s Healing Glove will be available for blessings on the night.

The witness on Tuesday night was to be delivered by former Kerry hurling goalie Martin Stackpoole but a sad and sudden family loss has meant that he had to step aside for now.

In the Face of Adversity

The witness will now be delivered by the inspirational Garda Mary Gardiner on the theme: Belief in the face of adversity.

The Tralee stationed Garda Mary Gardiner was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022.

In response she went on to create and star in a music video based on the Elton John hit I’m Still Standing to raise awareness of the 100K in 30 Days fundraiser for breast cancer in aid of The Marie Keating Foundation.

The condolence of all involved in the parish here in Castleisland go to Martin Stackpoole and his family on their sad loss.
