Gemma Kearney’s (centre) win in the individual football skills category has been hailed at the school as a fantastic achievement.

The team of: Gemma Kearney, Emma O’Regan and Áine Sheehan, came in second place in the group category.

“It would be fantastic if you could include them in The Maine Valley Post. We’re extremely proud of them. Gemma competed against 6th class girls from schools throughout the entire county.  So, to come in first place is some achievement. Likewise for our team, who came second against such tough competition and great credit is due to their coaches, Tommy Dom O’Connor and Norielle O’Leary,” said deputy principal, Maura Browne
