The Kerry Diocesan Youth Service in partnership with the Castleisland Garda Siochana will hold their annual soccer tournament at the soccer field, Limerick Road here in Castleisland.
Applications are invited from teams from the Castleisland area who are interested in taking part.
The competition will take place on Wednesday, July 2nd and Thursday, July 3rd and the games will begin at 6pm each evening and continue until around 9pm.
There are separate competitions for boys and girls. There are three age categories: Primary school – 4th to 6th class – and U-16s and U-18s.
The event will be supported once again by local businesses and Sgt. John O’Mahony will be on hand as well as other volunteers to help co-ordinate the event.
Teams will comprise of a minimum of seven and a maximum of 10 players. Entry costs €1 per player.
