Christmas Jumper Day nets €256 for Charity

Staff and pupils of Muire gan Smál National School got in the Christmas spirit last week and did some worthy fundraising at the same time.

The school held a Christmas jumper day and asked that all who participated in the event make a small donation with no particular amount asked for.

Acting principal Maura Browne was thrilled with the end result. A whopping €256.was raised and presented to the Castleisland branch of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
