Desmonds Delight as Cáit Captains the County

Kerry Senior Ladies team manager, Alan O’Neill has announced that  Cáit Lynch of Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club will captain the Kerry senior team for the 2015 season – according the Desmonds club PRO,  Pat Hartnett.

Cait will replace Bernie Breen who led the team for the past five years.

An inspirational and fearless leader on the field, Cáit won al All-Star Award in 2012 and is thought highly of at the top level of the game in Ireland today.

“Cáit Lynch came up through the ranks of ladies football by playing at underage with Desmonds.  Then she played junior football with Kerry and then on to the seniors where she soon established herself on the team. This is a great honour for Cáit, her family and her club,” said Pat.

Sam Maguire Cup Comes to Town

The Sam Maguire Cup will be in Castleisland along with some of the Kerry senior team on Thursday, January 29th. It is planned to visit all the schools in the town and surrounding areas on the day. Presentation of juvenile medals will take place later in the evening.

Club Appointments 

The club has announced the following managment teams  for the comong season: The minor team manager will be Colm O’Shea along with Edmond Hartnett and Patsy O’Donoghue.

Junior team manager will be Edmond Hartnett with John McGaley and William O’Connor.

Croke park Tickets 

The deadline for the sale of the Croke Park tickets is January 30th.There are 15 fabulous prizes on offer all sponsored by Croke Park tickets are €10 each and all finances generated will stay in the club. The club members are delighted to welcome Eamon O’Sullivan back on the executive committee. Eamon will take up the position of C .P.O for the coming season .

St. Kieran’s delegate for the coming season will be Timothy Twomey. Monthly meetings will take place on the third Monday of each month.
