Castleisland Community College is planning to run a ‘Maths taster’ programme for parents of 5th and 6th class primary school students. The course will commence on Thursday, February 5th at 7pm for the duration of two hours per night and will run for three weeks.
“The course is run every year for  the parents of Junior Cycle students in the school. This course will help parents gain confidence to support their child/children with their maths homework. It should help dispel some of the fears that parents have in relation to the new Project Maths course. The course will cover the basics with parents and will introduce them to the language of Project Maths.
If you are interested in participating in the taster programme, please contact the school on 066-71 41196 and leave your contact details. There is no charge to the parent,” said Principal Carmel Kelly.
