Knocknagoshel Women’s Group will remember Carmel Linehan, Michael Lenihan and Donal Curtin with a four- mile walk/run/jog on Easter Monday, April 6th.
Carmel was a great fundraiser for the Knocknagoshel Women’s Group and, since her untimely death, six deserving charities have been helped as well as raising vital funds for the Knocknagoshel Women’s Group.
“This is our seventh walk and Knocknagoshel Women’s Group and Killarney and South Kerry branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association will be the beneficiaries,” said organising group member, Catherine Brosnan.
Killarney South Kerry Branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association is a voluntary group which helps to make life better for people with disabilities, wheelchair users and their families. By taking them on holiday in Ireland and Lourdes and taking people out on social occasions they make a positive impact on their lives.
“Some members of the Knocknagoshel Women’s Group have gone on holiday as helpers with this group and consider them a very worthy recipient for funds this year.
Please come along and support us on Easter Monday, April 6th at 12 noon from Knocknagoshel Community Centre or support us by buying a line on sponsorship cards in various locations in Knocknagoshel, Castleisland and Abbeyfeale,” said Catherine. If anyone would like a sponsorship card they’re advised to call Bridget on 087 22 13 962
