The death has occurred of Patricia ‘Pat’ Hannon (née W.H. O’Connor) Tonbwee, Castleisland.
Peacefully, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Paddy. Sadly missed by her loving daughter Colette, son-in-law Elio, her adored grand-daughters Tracey, Lisa and Emma, sister-in-law Kathleen, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Rest In Peace.
Pat Hannon is the last of the long-living W.H. O’Connor family and she passed away peacefully at the great age of 97 on Thursday.
The late Mary Keane – wife of John B. worked as an apprentice hairdresser in the late 1940s and early 1950s with Pat and she spoke very highly of her as an employer.
Mary told me one day in Listowel that they worked hard when the work was to be done. On their down time they would put up a divider in the spacious salon and play Badminton.
May God be good to both of them now.
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at Tangney’s Funeral Home, Castleisland on Saturday evening from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to Castleisland Parish Church. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in St. John’s Cemetery, Castleisland.
