The death has occurred of John O’Leary, former TD, Beechcroft, Killarney.
Beloved husband of the late Judy and loving father of Tom, Brian, Denis, John G., Desmond, Donal and Rory. Very sadly missed and dearly loved by his family, daughters-in-law: Bríd, Eileen, Nora, Daphne, Barbara and Nicola, his doting grandchildren Myles, Jane, Seán, Machaela, Savana, Sadhbh, Judy, Donagh, Sophia and Samuel, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and many great friends.

Reposing at O’Shea’s Funeral Home, Killarney on Wednesday evening from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
Removal at 6.30 pm on Wednesday to St. Mary’s Cathedral. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 10.30am, burial afterwards in Aghadoe Cemetery, Killarney.

It is with regret that Deputy Tom Fleming learned of the sad bereavement of John O’Leary. He left a great legacy of service to the people of County Kerry and to the State.
He worked relentlessly for his constituents as a Dáil Deputy, Minister of State and as a County Councillor. He delivered on many projects in the South Kerry constituency.
He was always most approachable and accessible to his constituents and at all times he acted selflessly and with tact on their behalf.
It is fortunate that his memories are documented in his recent autobiography in which he gives a comprehensive insight into many aspects of his life as a public servant, dedicated family man and outstanding public representative.
