As the closing date approaches for one of the longest running and best attended sporting events in the country, the annual call for participation in the St. Mary’s Christmas Basketball Blitz has been issued.
The event, which changed the face of the Christmas holiday period in the Castleisland area forever once it got started all those years ago, is now it its 46th year
Anybody wishing to play or enter a team in this year’s Christmas Blitz should contact Tournament Director, Donal O’Connor at 087 69 84 941; Secretary, Reidin O’Loughlin 087 90 07 690 or Gerard Murphy at 066 71 41326. The Blitz will be held from 26th December to 30th December 2015. Closing date for entries is November 7th.
