The death has occurred of Norah O’Mahony (nee Travers) Lissanore, Castleisland.
Norah O’Mahony (née Travers) Lissanore, Castleisland, Co Kerry, October 23rd 2015, peacefully at the Bon Secours Hospital, Tralee. Beloved wife of Pat and much loved mother of Danny, Joanne, James, Gerard and the late Rick. Sadly missed by her loving husband and family, daughters-in-law Helen, Geraldine, Colette and Mairead, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephew Liam, all extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends. R.I.P.
A generation of children in the Castleisland area will remember Mrs. O’Mahony as their minder as she ran a creche at the community centre for years in the 1970s and ’80s. I had the absolute pleasure of working for herself and Pat on their home in Lissanore and a nicer, more considerate couple you couldn’t wish to meet or work for.
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at Tangney’s Funeral Home, Castleisland, on this Sunday evening from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to Castleisland Parish Church. Requiem Mass on Monday at 11am with burial afterwards in St. John’s Cemetery, Castleisland. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to the Irish Heart Foundation. House private please. May she rest in peace
