The death has occurred of John (Johnny) O’Mahony Castleisland, Kerry
The death has been announced of John ‘Johnny’ O’Mahony (94) of Beech Grove Farm Camp, Castleisland.
The late Mr. O’Mahony was one of Ireland’s leading Hereford breeders and his cattle were always in the line-up at prize-giving after shows here and elsewhere.
He and his wife Nellie developed and ran a hugely successful B&B business on their farm and this gained a reputation throughout Ireland and well beyond.
He also served with great dedication in several positions on the board of the Castleisland Co-Op Mart for many years. May God be good to him
The announcement and funeral arrangement for the late Johnny O’Mahony are:
John (Johnny) O’Mahony, “Beech Grove Farm”, Camp, Castleisland Co. Kerry December 28th 2015, peacefully at home surrounded, by his wife and family. Sadly missed by his loving wife Nellie, son Seamus, daughter Norma, daughter-in-law Emer, 5 grandchildren, sisters Marjorie Drumm, Sr. Anne (Drogheda), brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends. R.I.P.
Reposing at Tangney’s funeral home, Castleisland, Co. Kerry on Tuesday evening from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to Castleisland parish church. Requiem mass on Wednesday at 11am. Burial afterwards in Kilbanivane Cemetery, Castleisland.
