This year the Castleisland St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are being run by Castleisland Chamber Alliance in association with the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee.
Proceedings will begin with live music on Main Street by Blackwater Sound from 12pm. This will be followed by the parade which will start on Tralee Road at 1pm and travel through Main Street to the old Library and finish at Church Street Corner.

For the first time the parade will be lead by the Cullen Pipe Band – the members of which are celebrating the 75th anniversary of its founding.
“This is sure to add a festival atmosphere to one of Castleisland’s greatest and most successful days of the year. We are anticipating and inviting the usual large participation from local schools, clubs, businesses and organisations and advise people, particularly with young families, to arrive early to get a good viewing point along the route,” said chamber spokesman, Jeremy Burke.
