Knocknagoshel Women’s Group will hold its annual Carmel Linehan Memorial Run/Walk/Jog on Easter Monday, March 28th at 12noon.
The event will start and finish at Knocknagoshel Community Centre and there will be refreshments available afterwards in the centre.
This year’s event is in aid of the Knocknagoshel Over 55 Club and some of the funds raised will go towards the provision of a defibrillator for the community centre.
“Carmel was a great fundraiser for the Knocknagoshel Women’s Group and, since her untimely death, several deserving charities have been helped as well as raising vital funds for the Knocknagoshel Women’s Group,” said organising group member, Catherine Brosnan.
“This is our eighth year holding the event and we’re appealing for a big turnout from the area and beyond – so please come along and support us on Easter Monday,” said Catherine.
