It was with great sadness that the Milltown/Castlemaine GAA club heard of the death of former chairman Frank Twiss from Callinafercy. Frank was a club stalwart in administration and fund raising for nigh on four decades. We extend our sympathy Frank’s wife, Eileen, to his sons: Ian and Derek, daughters-in-law Evelyn and Gillian, grandchildren and to his extended family.
May Frank enjoy everlasting happiness and peace.

Milltown/Castlemaine GAA Lá Na gClub
As part of Lá Na gClub 2016 celebrations, the club is organising a get together to celebrate the achievements of the 1988 to 1996 teams. In that eight year period they had phenomenal success, winning Division 3 and 2 of the county league, thus gaining promotion to Division 1 for the first time ever.
They also won the County Junior Championship and contested four County Intermediate finals in six years-winning two and narrowly losing the other two.
That successful period in the club’s history certainly laid the foundations for where the club is today. To recognise that success the club has organised a reunion buffet with live music and late bar on Saturday, May 7th at Faha Court Hotel at 8pm.
If you have any memorabilia -photographs, match reports, programmes etc., from any year, we would be very grateful if you forwarded them to us. We hope to put a slideshow together for this momentous occasion. Please contact Mike Carroll on 087 22 56 548 or mikecarroll@eircom.ie All memorabilia will be returned to you on the night.
