Currow GAA Club will host a fundraising Golf Classic in the picturesque setting of Castleisland Golf Club on Saturday July 9th.

Currow, currently on top of the Division 3 County football league, are hosting the event as a major fundraiser as they continue work in the development of top class facilities and the preparation of senior and juvenile teams at their club grounds close to Currow village.

“The Golf Classic is a social event in addition to a test of skill on the magnificent redeveloped Castleisland Golf Course. Currow GAA club is offering value for money with three-person teams for the classic priced at just €150 which also includes a meal for each player in the club pavilion,” said Tom O’Callaghan, chairman of Currow GAA Club.

Memorable Day

“First three balls are off at 8am on Saturday July 9th in what promises to be a memorable day for the organisers, supporters and all the people taking part in the golf classic,” said Tom O’Callaghan, chairman of Currow GAA Club.

“In addition to the extensive prize list, organisers are also presenting additional prizes for the Longest Drive which is kindly presented by Mike O’Donoghue (Wood Turner) and Nearest to the Pin sponsored by Top to Toe Beauty Salon, Currow.

“We have been delighted with the response to the Golf Classic from the local business community who fully appreciate the invaluable role the Currow GAA Club plays in the local community.
