Thanks to all the club members and the Féile football team and mentors who contributed to the Cordal/Scartaglin efforts in Féile 2016 and made the weekend so successful and enjoyable for all.

The culmination of the weekend was Cordal/Scartaglin making it to the final of the Division 8 Shield competition which was played in Rathmore on Sunday at 1pm.

Heart and Pride

Unfortunately, their opponents White Cross of Cork were the victors but our lads played with heart and pride in the jersey and can be very proud of their performance.

Their place in the final had been secured earlier on Sunday with a one point over Tubbercurry of Sligo in Gneeveguilla.

The score-line of Cordal/Scartaglin 3-05 to Tubbercurry 4-01 shows the exertion needed to get to the final.

Panel and Mentors

Cordal/Scartaglin played Currow and Scotland on Friday evening. The team lined up against Dicksboro of Kilkenny on Saturday morning and Leicestershire on Saturday afternoon.

Well done to the entire panel and mentors on their weekend’s achievements.
