The cartoon images you see here are the work of local graphic artist / cartoonist, Richard Nolan.

Richard’s choice of career was art – no wonder there – but he spent the past decade and a half or more in computers.

Now he has an opportunity to get back into his first choice of graphic art. The appearance of Richard’s work here is an accident as it was sent to me by Gerdie Murphy as part of his weekly news items as PRO for Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club.

Richard has a website and you’ll find it with a click here:  www.art-customized.com and he can be contacted on: 086 83 95 184

The jerseys were first worn last weekend in the Féile Peile Na nÓg competition where Desmonds played Listowel Emmets, Portlaoise, Laune Rangers.

Great friendships were formed with the girls of the hosted team from Killygarry and many of the Desmonds girls travelled to the final to support them.

Niall’s daughter Katie was a member of the Féile team and played in the corner back position. Interestingly, Niall also played in Féile way back in 1994 when it was last held in Kerry.
