A meeting to hear submissions from charity organisations interested in becoming beneficiaries of the annual Paudie Fitzmaurice Memorial Tractor and Vintage Run was held at Cordal Community Centre about a month ago.
The charity has been chosen and a date for the popular run has been set.
The Chemotherapy Unit at University Hospital Kerry is the chosen charity and Sunday, September 11th is the date.
Catch-Cry for 2016 Event
‘If it has Wheels – Bring it Along’ is the catch-cry of this year’s event – the fifth annual outing in memory of the popular taxi driver who died in a road traffic accident on May 27th 2012.

The cavalcade will proceed through The Black Banks and on to Brosna, Ahane Cross, Feales Bridge, Headley’s Bridge, Loughfouder, Castleisland and over to Cordal and across the finish line.

There will be live music, entertainment and free food in Hughes Bar after the event.
And there will be a commemorative token for all paid-up participants.
