Congrats to Kayla From Cordal Coiste Na nÓg

On behalf of Cordal Coiste Na nÓg, I would like to congratulate Cordal’s Kayla O’Connor and all her family in Ardmona, Cordal on her magnificent achievement with the Kerry Ladies U-16 in securing the All-Ireland title win against Dublin.

Indeed, as much as it was a great day for Kayla herself, it is also a proud day for all the mentors and officials who work with Cordal Coiste Na nÓg through the years developing talent and giving opportunities through the auspices of the GAA for the next generation to develop their own sporting stories.

Support for U-16

Round 4 of the U-16 Lee Strand County League was played on Wednesday, July 20th where Cordal/Scartaglen travelled to play Legion. Unfortunately, while playing well, they lost the match.

Next up, the team travelled to play Kilgarvan/Tuosist in Round 5 of the Lee Strand County League on Wednesday, August 3rd full report in next week’s report.

Please turn out and cheer on this very determined and talented team and their mentors as they create their own piece of history represented the two parishes with pride.

U-14s Secure Final Place

Cordal/Scartaglen U-14s played Firies in the semi-final of Division 6 East Region Final in Cordal on Monday 1st August. The team won well and secured their place in the Final of this Division, Congratulations to all involved. The Final will be played on Monday 8th August, venue and time to be decided. Please contact the mentors nearer the time for more information, Let’s turn out and support the team.

 U-12s Developing Well

 Our U-12s travelled to Scartaglen and Castleisland Desmond’s to Cordal recently in the Castleisland District League. The team is developing well and took the honours on the night, well done to Scartaglen on a game well played.

Next up, the team welcomed Ballymacelligott to Cordal in Round 5 of the Castleisland District League. We appreciate the turn out and support for our players of the future as they practice and perfect their footballing skills.
