Castleisland Chamber Alliance could not have picked a more suitable venue than the Ivy Leaf Theatre for their first family cinema night.

The featured film was ‘Hocus Pocus’ a much loved Halloween classic. Kerry Film Festival provided the screening.

The event was supported by a host of local businesses including: Martin Curtin; Island Flowers; Walsh Colour Print; Island Players and Garvey’s SuperValu.

This support allowed the chamber to provide a halloween experience in a spooky setting.

Thrilled  at First Family Event

“Castleisland Chamber Alliance members were thrilled with how well our first family cinema event went,” said chamber member, Nicola Lawless

“We had over 150 people in attendance on the night, and lots of fun was had by all. During the summer we held music workshops and puppet shows and the success of those, plus the cinema night, has encouraged us to plan more events in the future, so watch this space,” said Ms. Lawless.

Castleisland Chamber Alliance is a voluntary organisation made up of various business, community and enterprise representatives drawn from the Castleisland area.

Suggestions or Ideas

“The aim of Castleisland Chamber Alliance is to make Castleisland a great place to live, work and do business” said P.R.O. Jeremy Burke.

“Community interests and events hold as much importance as business and enterprise activity. Our aim would be to plan and execute events that fulfill the remit of our entire mission statement,” said Mr. Burke.
