This morning’s Weather Update from Kerry County Council is as follows:

The Conor Pass is best avoided – please use alternative routes.

Poor driving conditions reported on Bealach Óisín, on the N69 Tralee-Listowel road, and in parts of East Kerry around Rathmore, Gneeveguilla, Anablaha and Scartaglin.

There is snow and ice in many sheltered areas and on higher ground so please proceed with caution.

Kerry County Council salted major routes from 4am this morning but please assume the need to drive with care on all roads.

The Yellow weather warning for cold conditions remains in place until 6pm Friday.
