Castleisland Community College will celebrate 30 years at its current location on Friday, May 19th.

To mark the occasion they will hold three events to celebrate the three decades. Breaking a World Record, A Tractor Run and a Celebration Evening are events being planned to mark the great occasion.

Past Teachers and Students

“We propose to host past teachers and students on the night. We also intend on having video links of past students from around the globe to help us celebrate,” said Principal Carmel Kelly.

“There will be a Wall of Remembrance full of photographs over the last 30 years. We also propose to exhibit old school roll books on the night. “We will celebrate the achievements in the school in Academia, Sport, Music, Entrepreneurship and Extra-Curricular success.

Centre Stage

“Storytelling from students and teachers past and present will also be centre stage on the evening.

“We are asking people to submit any school photographs they may have. We can scan them at the school and return them immediately to you.

“We hope to have a collection of photographs in booklet form, as a souvenir of the Celebration Evening,” said Ms. Kelly.
